Leaning forward or backward and tilting up or down

It's mighty tempting to use the zoom feature on your camcorder, and there are instances when you can't get closer to your subject, so zooming in really is the only way to do that. But it's much more effective if you can move your camera closer to your subject. One way to do that is to lean in, like so, or hold your camera like this and slide it in like so. Another good way to shoot is to tilt your camera up or down, or use your arm like a boom and lift your camera up or down. In any event, putting your camera in motion creates more visual impact. Here are several instances I shot for this course. I am going to show you several examples of the chocolate makers. Here is one where I lean in just to add a little more drama to that shot. And by the way, when you do lean in like this, lean in first, set your focus, and then lean back and start your shot. That means when you do lean in, the focus will be perfect.
