Getting familiar with the interface

Now let's take a very brief tour of the interface in Premiere. Premiere, like all Adobe video apps, is made up of a series of docked modules called panels. So we have, for example, the Effect Controls panel, the Project panel, the Resource Central panel, Media Browser and so on and so forth. And you could see which one is selected by this little gold outline around it. Now this is very crucial because the keyboard shortcuts that you will use to control Premiere are depended upon which panel is selected. If you want to make one panel the focus and maximize it, press the Tilde key, which is the little squiggle which is above the Tab key and to the left of the number one on your keyboard, and then hit the Tilde key again to restore the interface the way it was. Now between each of these docked panels, you will have a little divider line and if you put your cursor over that divider line, whether it would be vertical here or horizontal here, you can resize the interface and it's very…
