The Audio Mixer
While the Effect Controls panel specifically gives you options to adjust things like volume and, of course with visual scale, and opacity and so on. It specifically gives you controls for clip segments on the timeline. The Audio Mixer, by contrast, specifically and exclusively gives you controls for working on audio tracks. It's really important when you're getting into using Premiere Pro, to be very, very clear about the difference between the two. A lot of people get confused about the difference. If you're in the Effect Controls panel, you are specifically and exclusively. Applying changes to clip segments that you have in your sequence. But if you switch to the Audio Mixer, you are never working on clip segments. And instead, you are only working on tracks. And Premiere Pro allows you to make changes both to clip segments. And to tracks at the same time, and to give you a cumulative result. The audio levels for your clips come before the audio level adjustments in the Audio Mixer.…
