Digital video is a medium that is now available to almost everyone. It can be captured on anything from a mobile phone to a high-definition camera, and published anywhere from YouTube to Blu-ray discs. In Premiere Elements 4 Essential Training, Adobe Certified Instructor Chad Perkins explores all the video editing capabilities of Premiere Elements 4. Chad starts with a real-world sample project, then covers techniques for importing and editing video; and adding effects, transitions, and animation. He concludes with a final project incorporating all the steps, including exporting and posting. Exercise files accompany the course.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Premiere Elements 4 Essential Training. I'm your host Chad Perkins and on behalf of Lynda.com, welcome here to this great training series, where I'm going to show you how to use Premiere Elements 4. I'm an Adobe certified Instructor and Adobe certified expert in Premiere Pro, which is the Professional Edition of Premiere Elements, and I just love video editing and we have got some great stuff on the slate for this tutorial series. We're going to show you here all the components that you need to make a really sweet video presentation. I'm going to show you how to setup projects, bring in video.
I'll show you how to edit and clip videos and how to arrange them correctly. I'll give you some artistic counsel about how to do that and make your project really sing. I'm going to show you how to use Effects and Transitions, how to really use audio to your advantage. We're going to animate and bring things to life with the animation features of Premiere Elements. we're going to make slideshows. I'm going to show you how to make DVDs and on and on and on. One of the things that we're going to do is we're going to take this video of me and we're going to get rid of the background. So I'm just going to float in space here and we're just going to make this lightning pop-out of my hand here.
Eh? Then what we're going to do later on in the training series for our final project, once we've learned everything, is I'm actually going to show you how to create this project from total scratch and then post the video to YouTube. Here is just a snippet of what we're going to be creating in Premiere Elements from scratch, from nothing at all, in Premiere Elements from start to finish and then posting to the internet. (Sounds of a crowd cheering and clapping.) (Rock music fades in.) Eh? It is a good time folks. We're going to have a blast. Whether you're advertising, whether you're creating training videos, whether you're doing video podcasts, whether you're just creating some great memories, Premiere Elements is a phenomenal tool that you'll find has some great capabilities. In the next few movies, I 'm going to set this up a little bit more and tell you a little bit more about Premiere Elements and what's possible.
