Earlier in this course we talked about the differences in the following things on Pinterest, so we can follow the overall user or we can follow individual boards. However, what we didn't cover is how to unfollow a user or unfollow a board. And so in this movie I am going to show you how to do that. The first thing you need to do is determine whether or not you want to unfollow the whole user, meaning you don't want to see anything they post anymore, or if you want to unfollow just a specific board that they have. So the first thing I am going to do is show you how to unfollow a user.
So in this case I am going to come up here to Colleen, and on Colleen's page you are going to notice that there aren't very many pins, and so what I want to do is just unfollow Colleen until maybe she starts posting some things. So, in order to unfollow the user as a whole, you simply click Unfollow All. Basically, now I'm not following any of Colleen's activity on Pinterest. So now I can return back to my profile by clicking at the top-right, and you can see now that I'm only following two people. If I wanted to unfollow a specific board that I'm following on someone's profile, I just go to their profile, locate the board that I'm following.
You can see here I am not following any of these other boards except for this one in the bottom-left. I can unfollow that board by clicking, and it's very dim, but it does say Unfollow right there. And so I can click that and I am now no longer following that specific board. If I want to re-follow the board, I just click it and I am now following it again. If I'd like to follow any other boards, I just click those and I am automatically following those as well. So again, you have two ways to follow people-- Follow All or follow specific boards--and hopefully by now you know how to unfollow a specific user or one of their individual boards as well.
