As you may have noticed already, Adobe has made a slight change to the naming convention for their Creative Cloud apps. As of the 2014 release of Photoshop CC, all of the apps in the Creative Cloud are named CC 2014. That means you'll see Photoshop CC 2014 in the title bar, as opposed to just CC as you've seen in the past. When you run the latest CC updates your apps automatically become the 2014 version.
So don't worry, this is really just Adobe's way of versioning they're software so that you would be able to roll back to an earlier release if you ever needed to. Throughout this course you'll see some movies labeled as 2014. That means that something related to that feature or technique has been updated. As the releases continue to evolve, we'll continue updating our videos to help you better understand exactly what's changed, as well as explain any new features that get added along the way.
In this course update, the new features include Focus Mask and Blur Gallery. As well as significant enhancements to existing features such as Instant type preview, Font search, Type kit, Liquefy, Content aware, and Smart guides. So join me as we explore what Photoshop, this powerful and ever evolving creative tool, has to offer.
