Understanding when to correct photos
In this movie, we're going to be discussing, when should you color correct your images, when in your workflow should you do this? Well, correcting or adjusting colors in an image can occur in multiple places in your color workflow. You can adjust colors when you capture an image by, say, adjusting the white balance in your camera. Or by applying a filter such as a warming filter to your image when you actually capture the image. You can also apply color corrections, after you capture your image in an image editing program such as Photoshop, which is the focus of this course. You can also make adjustments to color and output to adjust the output device. Through the use of profiles, for instance. I usually recommend using a combination of choosing the best white balance setting on your camera to match your image capture lighting conditions. And then after that, working in your image editing program to accomplish the rest of your adjustments or corrections. After I access an image in…
