Understanding the scope of this course

I'm going to take a few minutes and discuss just what the scope of this course is going to be, and what you can expect to learn. This is a course in the fundamentals of color correction and created image adjustments. As such, I focus on using intuitive, graphic, but non-numeric, image adjustion and creative image adjustment techniques and tools. Using these intuitive techniques and tools, you will be able to make accurate and consistent color corrections and creative image adjustments without numeric-based evaluations and adjustments. During this course, we will cover the fundamentals of color image construction, evaluating the color characteristics and challenges of a new image, consistently making color correction changes in affecting creative mood adjustments, applying finishing touches such as re-touching and sharpening, and preparing your images for multiple output uses, such as inkjet and commercial printing, as well as display for presentations and the web. In here, you see a couple of examples of some of the images we, we're going to be working on, and some of the creative adjustments and color corrections we're going to be affecting. You'll learn to identify and remove color casts and correct skin tones and adjust brightness and contrast as well as color. Make color images pop. Even create postcards if you want to and using target based color corrections, correct the color in your image, even images with extreme color casts, we going to learn how to do with these intuitive techniques. And images where you normally wouldn't really like to look at the image at the beginning, at the end you go, wow, I can really like and use that image. And then finally, we're going to cover creative mood changing alterations of images, so you can change the look and feel of your image to match the designs that you have.
