Understanding pixels as the building blocks of an image
In this chapter, I'd like to talk about the fundamentals of color images. And in this particular video, I'd like to discuss the building blocks of a digital image. I always find, at least in my own head, that if I understand what's going on at the micro level, it helps me understand what's going on inside of my images. It's less of a black box. Like pushing a button and hope everything works okay. To really understand how an image is constructed, then when you go about adjusting those building blocks with your tools, there's better understanding, and also better problem solving. Okay. So we're going to start with our Arches Juniper image, and you'll notice that if you've been following along, following the course from one chapter to another, I'm creating a separate folder for each chapter and putting it underneath my Favorites panel.
