You can also change your type size with your keyboard as well. So I'm going to get my Text tool, press T for that. I'll click into this text frame and select this text with this drag across that. If you want to change your type size with your keyboard, it's Command+Shift or Ctrl+Shift, then your Greater Than or Less Than keys or your Period and Comma keys, same key. So Command+Shift+Period, Ctrl+Shift+Period to go up in 2 point increments. Command+Shift+Comma, Ctrl+Shift+ Comma to go down in 2 point increments. If you want to go in larger increments, you just add another key to that, so hold all three, Command+Option+Shift, Ctrl+Alt+Shift, Greater Than or Less Than, Period or Comma, same key, you go in 10 point increments instead of 2 point increments.
So that's how you do it. It's pretty easy. If you are in the middle of the text edit and you don't like this, you want to just get put of this text edit, you can just hit the Escape key to go back to where you started.
