Shooting a garment on a slant board

Now that we've styled the garment, positioned the lights and ratioed the lights, we're finally ready to make a photograph. You can see I've got my camera set, at the angle we discussed where it's firing directly into the center of the garment. If you'll notice here this blue wire is a Usb connection and I actually have the camera tethered to my laptop computer. The reason I do this is it enables me to draw the shot directly from the, from the camera to the laptop, and examine what we've captured on a big screen. This is a real help in, just looking for the tiniest details in the photograph. My eyes aren't what they used to be, but also, the great big screen lets you see details that you would never pick up on the small screen on the back of your camera. We've set our camera in manual mode. I have the aperture set to match the, meter reading which was f8 and 2 3rds. And what that translates to on a digital camera now is f10. So f10 is equivalent to f8 and 2 3rds. I've got that set…
