Shooting the details of a custom cabinet in a small space
So last night, after the main shot was done, and the crew was packed up, everybody was gone, I was sitting in this space and I was looking at this cabinet that's hand-made. It was just stunningly gorgeous, and I realized I just couldn't leave without photographing it. So I went ahead and set the camera up, and it was still daylight. There was still light coming through the windows and the perfect camera angle for the cabinet had glare on it from the windows. It was the, just the angle of the light. So I realized it wasn't going to work during the day, so I was going to have to wait til it got dark. So I did, and after it got dark, the windows were black, so I went ahead and pulled the shades down, so I had some detail in the windows themselves, and I lit it with tungsten, and just made a magnificent shot, I'm really pleased with it.
