Often photographers who want to learn to use Adobe Photoshop just dive in and figure out how to do what they need to do. This is all well and good, but with this approach you're likely to miss out on features that could help you, ways of working more efficiently, and an overall understanding of how Photoshop works. In this course Tim Grey takes you systematically through Photoshop's interface and tools, then shows you how to make basic adjustments and output your work for sharing. Whether you've been using Photoshop for a little while or you're just getting started, this workshop will make sure you always know where you are and where you're headed.
Hello there. I'm Tim Grey, and I'm here to help you learn to feel like an experienced pro in Photoshop. I've been working with Photoshop for many years and have written over a dozen books and hundreds of magazine articles about this powerful application. I've also spoken at countless seminars and workshops and produced more than a few video training titles. What that all adds up to is a lot of experience gaining a very strong understanding of Photoshop. One of the things I've found over the years is that photographers have tended to take a somewhat piecemeal approach to learning Photoshop.
The result is that they miss a few key items along the way. Whether you've been using Photoshop for a while or you're just getting started, in this video workshop I'm going to fill in all the blanks so you can feel confident about your Photoshop skills. I'll start off with an overview of Photoshop which you can think of as something of a guided tour. I'll show you how to configure Photoshop to suit your needs and your specific workflow, how to make use of the many controls you'll find while working with your images. How to perform basic image optimization, and much more. My aim is to help you feel comfortable in Photoshop, to understand where things are and how to use them, and how to always know where you are and where you're headed.
That might sound like a tall order, but I'm going to guide you step by step and share my experience of what is really important and what you don't need to focus too much energy on. So let's dive in and learn all the fundamentals that will make working with Photoshop more efficient, useful and fun.
