In this course master Adobe Photoshop artist Uli Staiger takes you step by step through the process of creating a fantasy montage where the majestic airship is the true lord of the air. He shows how to use Photoshop to prepare the background image by improving the contrast and lighting, add the airship itself, and then make a series of adjustments to create a unified and believable final image. The tutorials are presented in a series of simple, easy-to-follow lessons that give you plenty of room to add your own artistic touches to the final product.
(music playing) Hi there. My name is Uli Staiger. I'm a photographer and retoucher from Berlin, Germany. I've created a collection of new Photoshop workshops that walk you through how to create a stunning, scene step by step. By following along with me, you'll learn numerous sophisticated techniques, and see them applied in a real world setting. Each of these workshops include all the exercises files you'll need to follow along with me step by step. Just imagine a world without airplanes. In this workshop, the star is an airship that will be placed in a large flooded scene of landscapes and clouds.
First, the cloudy landscape scene will be created. Most important is to light a normal landscape shot and make it look and feel like a fantasy image. Then the airship is brought into the scene and is combined with different layers and blending methods. I hope you have a great time working on this classic steampunk image.
