Lighting the ring for the shot

So when we did out test for composition, I was pleased with the angle we had on the ring. I felt like the camera was showing the proper features. What I didn't care for was the lighting, and there are there are few reasons why. one focal point is always going to be defined by the highest point of contrast in the frame. And if you look right here between the shadow and the highlight. Your eye is really being drawn to the inside of the ring and that's not what we're trying to sell. So the lighting is overall kind of ineffective. The background is a little too, too bright in these areas here. This part where we're seeing beyond our background is not a real concern because I intend on cropping this shot. You'll find with a lot of jewelry shots you need to plan on cropping unless you have the specialized lenses to enable you to get much closer to the product. one of the advantages of this camera, it captures a large enough file that we do have room to crop and still hold on to enough…
