- We've already seen how back lighting changes the sense of contrast on the ground and in the features in your scene. And one of the cool things about it is that is shines through things, in this case it's shining through Courtney's diaphanous gown here. But you can also see it back here shining through the sage brush. A lot of times you will get a translucent effects that are very, very pretty. Clothing will light up, semi-opaque textures or in this case, fibrous structures will light up in a really pretty way. And it just gives you a really nice light to work with. I'm starting out here... boy the suns not going to last long... I'm starting out here, actually... oh, oh, there it goes, gotta get what I can. Working with the sun in my shot, it's very cloudy out here, it's coming and going. Fortunately, I did a little bit of shooting earlier and already got some things.
