Color correction vs. creative image adjustment
In this movie, I'd like to distinguish between color correction versus image adjustment. In this course I want to make this distinction between color correction adjustments and creative image adjustments. Color correction involves the adjustment of the balance between colors that appear to be wrong or incorrect. Creative image adjustments on the other hand, involve the adjustment of color balance between colors and an image. But for the purpose of creative alterations, to effect a specific look and feel or mood that you would like to create. As you will see, the tools and techniques are the same, whether we are correcting or creatively adjusting images. But it's important to keep your goal in mind. Some images specifically do not lend themselves to your creative interpretations. An example of this would be a normal portrait in which you, and or your client, will expect to have skin tones that look like a normal human being.
