When you are working with multiple Photoshop documents, there is going to come a time where you want to see more than one at a time. So here I've got them arranged. There is four documents open, but I'm just seeing them one tab at a time. To rearrange them, the easiest way to do that is to use the Arrange Documents widget. You've to have the application frame and application bar turned on to have that widget but here it is. And I'm going to pop open that menu and you can see I have got a lot of different ways to rearrange how these documents are tiled on the screen. This option here will show two up, so I've got four documents open and that's going to split my current area into two windows basically, each with their own set of tabs. If I wanted to arrange all four open documents, I might want to look at one of the icons that has four in them. So I can do four up and see them like so.
If I want them all to be vertical, I can choose one of the options from the top row to arrange them all vertically. If I want to do it horizontally, I can do it that way as well. So it really just depends. If you want to reconsolidate them all into a single window of multiple tabs, that's what the Consolidate All command is. You will use that one quite often, take it back to where you started. The number of icons that light up depends on the number of documents you have open. So if you only have two documents open, these rows of icons aren't going to be available because they are not relevant. So I'll go back to All Vertical and you've got a very quick easy way to change how your documents are displayed on your screen. It's called the Arrange Documents widget, up there in the app bar.
