Okay Photoshoppers, I want to give you a quick tip on how to center a layer inside a document, or even center more than one layer inside a given document. Let's begin by doing the Free Transform text layer here. We're going to center that in the document first. The trick here is to select the layer in the Layers panel that you want to center or align here. We'll do Select All, Command+A, Ctrl+A. Once you've got that selection going in your document, if you look at the Options Bar, you've got some Alignment buttons. So I'm going to click the Horizontal Center button and the Vertical Center button. Voila! I've got my Transform Text layer here centered perfectly in the document.
Okay and then go ahead and deselect, Command+D. Let's say you want to center more than one layer in the center of your document. So let's get these off center, I'll put the Free Transform layer here and I'll click on small layer and kind of move it there. So things are not centered anymore. To center more than one layer to the center of your document, juts Shift-click on the names of the layers to group them into a selection here. Then we'll do our Select All command again, Command+A, Ctrl+A, and now you've still got your Alignment buttons again. So I'm going to click the Horizontal Center button and the Vertical Center button. Now both selected layers are centered within my selection. Since I did Command+A, that centered within the entire document.
