- Now that I've got the camera in video mode, let's talk about some of the features with this camera. Now, this is more versatile than past Olympus cameras, but the Olympus does not offer as many controls for video shooters as I would like. If we go into the menu here, you'll see that we do have some options for how we shoot video. Let's go down to the Record Quality and go over. And you'll see Movie Mode. You can now choose between different options here for movie. This includes full HD at a full quality or a standard quality. This effects the amount of data rate with the camera. The ability to drop to a smaller quality HD, which is essentially 720p. And the ability to do lower-quality motion JPEG, which I would never recommend shooting. Now, beyond this, you can use the accessory port up here and get the microphone adapter. This is a unit I regularly use. Mine's just currently out in the field.
