We're at Hong Kong International Airport getting ready to fly back to the United States after a week in Hong Kong. I wanted to take a minute to give you some takeaways from the trip. Just on the off chance you're considering visiting here and you absolutely should be considering visiting Hong Kong. First off, it's important to know that Hong Kong is not a relaxing vacation, you will go home whipped. You're going to sacrifice sleep because of the 24-hour nature of the city. That's fine, go home tired, sleep on the plane. The food is fantastic if you let it be. Be adventurous in your eating, stay away from McDonalds and the like, take the plunge with local food early so you'll have plenty of time left to enjoy it if you discover something you really like. I'm going to suggest staying in an apartment versus a hotel. Hotels are very small, very expensive in Hong Kong. An apartment gives you space to spread out and relax and grounds you a little bit.
