Introducing camera angle

In this chapter, we're going to shoot some photographs and talk about camera angle. Before we do that, I wanted to talk about how camera angle works with my trusty model here and a vintage camera. What camera angle is, is it has to do with the relationship between the camera and the subject. We can have a high camera angle, which is a camera looking down on the subject. One which is eye level. Or perhaps from below. Now, there isn't necessarily a right or wrong with camera angle, rather, it's about the type of portrait you want to create. That being said, in traditional portraiture, there are some guidelines. Here they are. If you're creating a headshot, typically, your camera is, is at about eye level or maybe just a touch below or a touch above. Then if you're creating a portrait which includes more of the subject, the camera might drop a touch. As it gets to full length, it drops down even a little bit more.
