Abba Shapiro introduces Perfect Photo Suite, eight powerful modules that allow you to enhance photos, add effects, swap backgrounds, retouch portraits, and convert color photos to evocative black-and-white images. Perfect Photo Suite can be used as both a standalone application and integrated with Aperture, Lightroom, and Photoshop. Abba covers both workflows, and delivers three different adjustment challenges, which help you test your skills.
This is an introductory course produced by RHED Pixel to help both beginner and seasoned photographers quickly realize the benefits of Perfect Photo Suite 8. We are honored to host this training in our library.
The Portrait Module makes it really easy to enhance people's faces, remove the blemishes, make their eyes sparkle. Make sure skin tone is nice and smooth and even. And it's really just a few clicks to get the job done. Let's go ahead and open up the bride file. We'll select it, and we'll take it directly into the Portrait Module. Now, when you open something in the Portrait Module, it automatically tries to find all the faces in that image. Now as you see, it easily found her face, we'll look at how to adjust that shortly.
But what about a situation where you might have multiple faces in your image. Let me go ahead and cancel this, and open up this next image multiple faces. Now this is a file that we're going to create later on in the course. But what I have here is the same person, six different times in the shot. And if I open this in the Portrait Module it's going to do its best job to find all of the faces in this image. Now in the case of this file there are multiple faces but, they're kind of small, relative to the size of the canvas.
So it's going to do it's best job, but it's not going to find all the faces. And I'm going to help it find the faces that it doesn't necessarily find. So it does spot the two on the right side of the image, but after that it's kind of at a loss. So it, it kind of gave me a best guess of a, that third face, which is really not a face, it's half the screen. So I'm going to go ahead and close that, and I'm going to help it find the additional faces in this image. So I'm going to switch over to the Face Select tool, and I'm going to click on the first face in the image.
Now, it's going to give me a large bounding box, and I'm going to move this out of the way so you can see better. I'm going to go ahead and shrink this down. And, move it over and shrink it just so we're over her face. And, when I've positioned it just right, I'm going to hit Apply. Now instead of having only two faces found, we have the third one. And I can continue, to use the Face Select tool and add faces four and five to my image. Once I've helped Perfect Photo Suite find the faces in my image, I'm ready to start retouching.
