We've added damage to the scene by motion tracking some artwork. I take this further by adding particle smoke to the damage. Before I get to that though I want to activate motion blur for fire scar and also tree patch, and then for the entire layer. Anything that's animated or timed like those two layers can pick up motion blur. That'll make it more realistic. So let's make some new particles for smoke. I'm going to start with a new composition, call this particle smoke. Make it the same resolution, frame rate and duration. I need a new layer now, so I'll make a new solid, Layer>New Solid. Go ahead and name this also, smoke solid. Make it the same resolution, and again the color doesn't matter. This time, we're going to use a different particle effect. So Effect>Simulation>Particle Playground. I'll zoom in here. We'll take a look at the default simulation. So it creates a fountain like spray of particles upwards.
