In Painter 11 Essential Training, John Derry, one of the original Painter authors, demonstrates basic and advanced creative techniques that can get beginners up and running. He also shows old hands the new features that can get a creative vision out of the head and onto the canvas. John demonstrates how to establish an easy workflow in Painter by using a Wacom tablet, and he explains how to create, edit, and publish projects. Exercise files accompany the course.

If you are a premium member of the lynda.com Online Training Library or if you are watching this tutorial on a DVD-ROM, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. You will find these exercise files in a folder named Exercise Files and once you open it up, you will find a sub- folder for each of the various chapters found in this title. And within each of these sub-folders, you will find any pertinent content that is associated with that particular chapter. I may be asking you to open up a certain file or if I have done something and you'd like to look at the results, I have saved my files into these various sub-folders so that you will have access to those files to look at within Painter or even another application.
