When we are in a hurry, nothing beats using the keyboard to get things done quickly. Outlook lets us jump to our Calendar, Contact list and other folders within Outlook with simple keystrokes, and they are easy to remember. To view our Calendar at anytime, press and hold Ctrl and then 2. To view our Contacts, Ctrl+3, for Tasks Ctrl+4, for Notes Ctrl+5, and to go back to your Mail, Ctrl+1. How do you remember which is which? Look in the lower left-hand corner, Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes.
One, two, three, four and five, and that's it. Don't forget all of our keyboard shortcuts are written down for you in a file that you can download within our Exercise Files. Moving on, let's talk about using categories to keep things organized throughout Outlook.
