Sometimes we need to quickly find an appointment, perhaps to edit it or just remind us when it is. Occasionally, we need a list of all the appointments we've scheduled with a certain client or a group. Let me show you how quick and easy this is. When viewing our calendar, we can click here or use the shortcut key Ctrl+E. This brings our cursor to the search area where we can type a keyword and press Enter. Outlook will search the subject, location, notes, and even invited attendees, for whatever keyword I search by.
In the results listing, I can double-click on any appointment to view it or modify it. You might also be interested to know that this table of results can be easily copied and pasted into Excel, should you need to create a spreadsheet. When I'm done searching, I can click the X icon to return to the normal view. To wrap up chapter 5, I'll show you some time-saving shortcut keys that we can use while working with the Outlook calendar.
