In Outlook, we can make certain messages stand out in our Inbox based off of keywords or who sent them. For example, I want all the e-mails from my boss Judith to show up in purple. That way I don't miss any. To make this happen, I will right-click on the heading of my Inbox, I will choose View Settings at the bottom of the menu, then Conditional Formatting, and I'm going to create a new conditional format. I will call this one Judith. Now I will specify the font that I would like to use for any e-mails from Judith.
I will make them purple, larger, and bold. Finally, I will specify the condition for this rule. The formatting I selected earlier is going to apply to all e-mails sent from Judith. When I hit OK and return back to my Inbox, you can see that every e-mail that Judith has sent me is automatically colored in purple. To edit a rule, temporarily disable it or delete it permanently, just return to the same menu.
I can disable it here by clearing the check box, or delete it forever by clicking here. And now, let's move on to another tip, number seven.
