Hi and welcome to Microsoft Word 2007 Formatting Long Documents. I'm David Rivers. I have been teaching and using Microsoft Word since its inception and over time it's developed into a very powerful and robust word processing application capable of performing tasks typically reserved for desktop publishing applications. And in this title we test the features and the limits of Word 2007 and we will use content from the novel, "The Humbugs Of The World, An Account of Humbugs, Delusions, Impositions, Quackeries, Deceits and Deceivers Generally, in All Ages" and it's by P. T. Barnum.
We will begin by exploring some of the planning considerations that will help to limit frustrations and ensure a smooth process when it's time to create the document itself. Then we will explore different ways to view your document to help you stay organized. We spend time working with styles, sections and building blocks. Aside from additional features like fields, figures and tables, footnotes, endnotes and printing techniques we'll explore some useful shortcuts to help you save time and effort. So with so much to cover, let's get started.
