The ColorCorrect node

As mentioned in the previous video, the Color Correct node gives you far more control for matching the layers of a composite. It has separate controls over the darks, midtones, and highlight ranges, and you can even define what those ranges are. I'll double-click on the Color Correct mode, open up the Property panel in the Property bin. Here we can see the ranges. Now, the Master is global, it affects the entire picture. This, of course, is your shadows. And your midtones. And your highlights. Now, the first thing you want to do is go to the Ranges tab and check your ranges. So, come up here and click on the Ranges tab. Here's where we define what is a shadow, a midtone and a highlight. You can adjust the Shadow curve and the Highlight curve, but you cannot adjust the Mid tone curve, Nuke calculates that from your two curves.
