Now, if music inspires your graphics at all, the Audio parameter behavior should really take that to the next level. Press F5 to open the Project pane. Let's go the Audio tab and you notice we have this Imagine music. Let's press Play so that we can check things out. (Music playing.) Since there are a lot of different frequencies to that sound, we are going to use the different frequencies to affect this title in different ways. So let's get started by clicking on the Layers tab, select the text imagine, and in the Inspector go to Properties and let's have this bounce up and down to the beat of the music.
So I'm going to open the Position parameters, and Ctrl-click right on Y and choose Audio. Now we could go to the Media tab and try and drag-and-drop the audio, but I've found it's just quicker to click on the To button, because it lists all the different audio you can use. I don't want to use Forest_Evening, because that's just the audio that came in with the video clip in the background. Let's choose ImagineMusic. Now if we click this Play button in the Behaviors tab, (Music playing.) you will notice it actually shows you all the different frequencies of that audio file.
These frequencies right there where the bass keeps hitting. That's what I would like to use to make the title bounce up and down. So let's isolate that. Just click-and-drag with the slider to isolate that one individual frequency, and let's press Play one more time. (Music playing.) Now since this behavior is actually bouncing almost to the top of this graph, we don't need to adjust this because this will adjust how sensitive the response is, but again since this is going all the way to the top, pretty much we don't need to drag this down at all.
So at the bottom you notice we have this option for Peaks, by default it's set to Sharp. Let's see what that looks like by pressing Play. (Music playing.) We are not seeing too much right now. You can sort of see the handles move a little bit. What we need to do is adjust the overall Scale as to how this is applied to the word. You notice as I'm dragging the Scale in the canvas, we are seeing a red line grow. That's our animation path. So let's move our playhead back to the beginning and press Play. (Music playing.) There you go. I think that's pretty cool.
If we chose Smooth for the Peaks, it would smooth out the motion of this overall bounce. But since that hit is so drastic, we are not noticing too much of a difference, but I would like to leave that at Sharp for right now. Now the default Apply Mode is Add. Let's choose Add and Subtract and that will actually help make this even more drastic. Let's go press the Play button. (Music playing.) So you notice when things are calm, it's actually subtracting a little bit from the position as well.
So I think this is pretty cool, but let's add one more behavior. Reselect the imagine text, and this time let's add a blur. Choose Directional Blur. Tthis way we'll have the blur adjust to the audio. So under the Amount Ctrl- click again and choose Audio. And again to apply the source audio, just click the To and choose ImagineMusic. This time instead of isolating a specific frequency, let's just leave the entire Audio Graph setup. Now go ahead and press Play. (Music playing.) It's kind of hard to see, but let's turn off the first Audio behavior, so we can kind of isolate this filter.
(Music playing.) Again, we'll need to adjust the scale. So let's drag the Scale back up there, and press Play. (Music playing.) Again, it's just adding so let's choose Add and Subtract. (Music playing.) I think that's a little much, so we'll bring the Scale down just a little bit, and we'll re-enable our first Audio behavior, deselect all the layers, and click Play from beginning.
(Music playing.) So there you have it, multiple audio parameter behaviors applied to your graphics to create animations that hopefully will take you to the next level.
