In this course, author Chris Mattia helps educators create online courses that complement classroom-based instruction and foster student interaction using the free learning management system Moodle. The course details the basics of setting up a test environment, disseminating course information, creating forums, and assessing student progress. Tutorials on building course materials with Moodle's built-in HTML editor, preparing and posting various types of media, uploading assignments, and evaluating tests automatically are also included.
If you're a Premium member of the lynda.com Online Training Library or if you're watching this tutorial on a DVD-ROM, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this training. You should go ahead and copy those exercise files to your desktop. The files are arranged with one folder per each chapter of the title. When you go into a particular folder you'll find all the different assets that I'm going to be using to build the course throughout this training title. If you're a Monthly member or an Annual member of lynda.com you don't have access to the exercise files, but you can follow along from scratch with your own assets.
