This brings us to the end of Moodle Essential Training for Teachers. We began our journey through the Moodle Learning Management System by setting up a test server on your local computer. Then we got started building our course. We walked through all the essential skills you have to have such as posting documents and information to your students, setting up your Grade Book and creating your first online assignment. We then learned how to leverage the built-in HTML editor to create multimedia rich content inside of our course. Every course has the three major components of information for knowledge, community and assessment.
We walked through how Moodle is built to provide all of these by hosting resources, assignments, interactive activities and online tests to evaluate our students' learning. We built an online Grade Book and even learned how to administer our course. I hope these videos have helped you learn how to create your own course inside of Moodle. But they have also inspired you to leverage the power of the web in new ways to enhance what you are already doing inside of your own classroom. Until next time, I'm Chris Mattia, Educational Technologist at Art Center College of Design and owner of Callinectes Training, signing off for Lynda.com.
