- Q: I have had some real issues with tracking. In the “Automatic matching” video the Solve for Camera placed tracks behind the camera. In the next video when the data got imported into Maya the tracks weren't there. Were they simply deleted? I get similar issues when I track a lot of my footage and I was wondering if there was a more advanced process used to solve, or if those points were just deleted for the video.
- A: The tracks may have been filtered upon export. In the Export dialog box, you can eliminate or include tracks by a number of different criteria, including confidence level. It is often advantageous to uncheck the fair and bad track options so that you have cleaner data in Maya.
