Configuring a shopping cart for your business usually means working with a series of shifting parts. Magento Go helps merchants quickly and easily build a store to sell products and services online, with no software to install and configure and no servers to manage. In this course, author Justin Seeley shows how to use the robust set of tools in Magento Go to create, manage, and grow your online business. The course covers setting up products, product categories, tax settings, and shipping methods; creating payment methods with PayPal, Authorize.Net, and Google Checkout; customizing your store's pages and themes; and managing customer data and product ratings.
In the previous movie, we talked about the various payment methods that are available to you inside of Magento Go. In addition to those payment methods, we also have payment gateways that we can tie them into. And so the payment gateways make it possible for you to accept credit payments directly in your store, and Magento Go does support a wide range of these payment gateways as well, and you can see them listed on this page here. You just go to go.magento.com/support/kb/entry/ name/understanding-payment-methods/.
You can also access that from the knowledgebase, which is available at go.magento.com. And inside of this information here you are going to find all of the different payment gateways that are accepted, including ones that are worldwide, ones that are specific to North America, ones that are specific to Europe and ones that are Oceana as well. And you'll see that there are some pretty famous names on here like PayPal, Authorize.Net, CyberSource, First Data Global, PSI Gate, Braintree, Car Gate Plus, Payone, Sage Pay, and eWAY Direct, and so this actually tells you the countries in which they are accepted.
You can click on the individual services to see something about them. So for instance, if I wanted some more information about PayPal, I can click on PayPal and that would take me to a page that describes PayPal itself, also how to gain access to PayPal, how to use Express Checkout, how to use some of their all-in-one solutions, et cetera. So if you're not really sold on one of these particular gateways, you can come here to this page and you can find out information about them, and then use that information to decide which one is best for you, and then when you go back into your System Configuration you can then set up whichever one you choose inside of your Payment Methods section.
So you can set up PayPal, you could set up Authorize.Net fairly easily by simply clicking it and entering in all of the required information, and so on. Once you have read up on all of the different payment gateways that are available to you to process your electronic transactions here inside of Magento Go, pick out and that's going to be the one that you use throughout your entire site, and then once you have that account set up, come back into Magento Go, configure it up using the options inside of the System Configuration and you'll be well on your way to accepting payments for your merchandise, here inside of Magento Go.
