Video: Adding customer reviews

Occasionally customers will want to comment or review the products that they have purchased from you. These reviews can be both positive and negative as you've seen on many sites before. But the good thing about Magento Go is the fact that you have the ability to moderate these reviews. As they start to review products and their experience with your store, you will start to get these reviews inside of your Magento Go dashboard. In order to see these reviews you need to go up here to the Catalog section and go down to Reviews and Ratings and then choose Customer Reviews, and then you can see all of the Pending Reviews.

Adding customer reviews

Occasionally customers will want to comment or review the products that they have purchased from you. These reviews can be both positive and negative as you've seen on many sites before. But the good thing about Magento Go is the fact that you have the ability to moderate these reviews. As they start to review products and their experience with your store, you will start to get these reviews inside of your Magento Go dashboard. In order to see these reviews you need to go up here to the Catalog section and go down to Reviews and Ratings and then choose Customer Reviews, and then you can see all of the Pending Reviews.

Once you do that if there are any pending reviews you'll see it listed here and you can actually click on it to view that review. They don't give a rating here necessarily but they tell you what the product is, who the person was that bought it, and the nickname of that person which you can change. You can also see the review that they wrote. If you would like to save this review, just go ahead and save it and it goes back out. You can select the review here and then choose to Delete it or Update the Status and then change the status to Approved, and hit Submit.

Once you've approved it that is now part of that product's review. So if I go to my store homepage and I find the blue robot, on the blue robot page you'll see one review, and if I click on that, it expands it out, and you'll see that at the bottom. Here it is, best toy ever, everything about it, and who posted it as well. You can actually sort these reviews down here at the bottom and you can write in reviews as well if you're logged into the system. This is a great place where you could respond to this review.

So if they have posted something negative maybe you could respond to that or if they just posted something positive, you could say thank you for choosing our site, or whatever you might want to say. And so the review system inside of Magento Go is actually pretty good, and you can use that to both moderate and work with the different product reviews that people submit.
