Here, I want to briefly share with you a feature which is often overlooked inside of the Print module, and it's called the Print One. You know, as a photographer, there are a lot of times when I just want to get one of my images to the printer, I just want to print one photograph, and I want it to so with a lot of speed. Well, in order to do that, what you want to do first is define your Page Setup options. So here, I'll go ahead and choose Epson 3800 and then my paper type, and let's say that I know that my printer is going to be loaded with this particular size paper, this A3 size here.
I'll click OK in order to choose that. Next, I'll go to my Print Settings and in the in the Print Settings dialog, again I'm going to choose my paper, and then I'll go down to my Printer Settings. In Printer Settings, I'm going to define the paper type, in this case Velvet Fine Art Paper, and I want to make sure to turn off this Color Mode. No color management by my printer, Lightroom is going to do all that management for me. And here I'll simply click Save. Well, now that I've predefined these two options, what I can do is simply choose an image and choose a layout style, and then click the Print One button.
What this will do is instantly send this image to the printer. Now, why is that an advantage? Well, it's an advantage because I don't have to click Print and then go through this dialog and choose all my options here. Again, it's a small little feature, but sometimes that's nice. Because many times, you and I know that you have a preset way of working with printing, particular paper, particular settings, and many times you only want to create one version of that image or one print, and in those situations by setting up your Page Setup in your Print Setting options, you can then do that by simply clicking on the Print One button.
