In this movie I want to provide you with a bit of a project overview. In a sense, a roadmap of sorts of the process that we're going to go through in this course. And this image here, it's the end result of the process that we're going to take. And you know, my mom is an artist and as a kid she was always reminding me that art requires process. And so here in this course, we're going to go through a process, and this end result, well it began at an unlikely place. Here you can see the original image, as it was captured straight out of the camera.
This is the before, and then here is the after. You know, whenever I see before and afters like this, I'm always wondering, well, how did they achieve that? What was the process that was taken in order to accomplish results like these? Well this image, as I mention, started this way, the horizon is a little bit unlevel. The colors are lackluster. So here in this course We're going to begin by leveling off the horizon and warming up those colors. Then, next, we'll explore how we can create an alternate version of this photograph, one where we have cooler tones.
Then after we've created this image, we'll bring these files over to Photoshop, and we'll use some masking in order to make some magic happen. In order to bring both of these photographs together, so that we have these warm and cool tones all in one image. After we've done that, we'll take some time, fine-tuning and finessing the color, so that we can create some really brilliant, vibrant and interesting colors.
