In Photoshop Lightroom 3 New Features, photographer and author Chris Orwig explores the enhancements that Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 brings to each phase of the photographic workflow—from importing and editing, to exporting and publishing. This course details Lightroom 3's new importing and asset-management features and its significant improvements in the Develop module, including enhanced sharpening and noise reduction. Chris also shows how Lightroom 3 broadens output options, and shares workflow tips and advice for upgrading Lightroom 2 catalogs and working with images processed in earlier Lightroom versions. Exercise files are included with the course.
Watermarks give you the ability to protect your photographs and new in Lightroom 3 is the ability to add watermarks in the Slideshow, Print and Web modules, and I simply want to highlight that here. You'll notice that we're currently in the Slideshow module and if I want to add a watermark to my slideshow images what I need to do is to navigate to the Overlays panel. Next, all that we need to do is to simply click on the option for Watermarking. Now, if we've already created a watermark, we can click on this menu here and choose that watermark from this particular menu or of course, we can always edit that and modify it. All right.
Well, where does it show up in the Print module? Well, let's navigate to the Print module and next what we are going to do here is navigate to Page. In the Page panel, we can then go down to Watermarking and once again we can choose one of our preexisting watermarks or of course we can create a new one as well. Let's make our way to the Web module. Now here in the Web module, we're going to go to the Output Settings panel and in the Output Settings panel, we once again have the same option to turn on the watermark.
Now once we have selected that, we'll just have to wait a second here as Lightroom updates the slideshow and here you can see we have this watermark included on top of our images inside of the Web Gallery.
