At the top right of the screen, there is an indicator showing that we have a private message. Let's click it. Now we see there's a message for us and it shows that it's unread.
Let's open the message. We've received a message from the administrator. We'll either delete this message or we can reply to it. Let's reply to it. And click Send. Since we've already read this message, let's delete it. There are a few settings for private messaging when we click the Settings button. We can lock our inbox so that no one can send us a message. We can have the system automatically e-mail us whenever there's a new private message.
We can also clear away messages that are more than seven days old. The settings may be helpful for you depending on how you use the private messaging feature. Let's click Cancel. Administrators can send messages to each other in the backend of Joomla by using the private messaging system. It functions as a simple email-like system you can use to manage tasks.
