As photographers and avid users of social media services, we are really interested in statistics. And especially when it comes to like how many people are following us or how many people are looking at the photos and tweets and Facebook post and stuff like that that we put online, we are really interested in that as a society. And so with Instagram we actually have a really cool way of tracking our statistics for Instagram photographs and it's called Statigram. And so it's at this website, its Statigram. And once you get to the site you will just log in using your Instagram credentials, there is a big button that says Log In Using Instagram.
And once you do that you are taken to this site right here where you can click on the Statistics tab, which is one I am looking at here. And so you can see here the latest update, it tells you your Next update is going to be in about 24 hours. You can be notified by email when they update it again. And so this gives you sort of a bird's eye view of everything that's going on with your Instagram accounts. So it tells me right now I have got 121 photos in my Instagram account. So far I have received 317 Likes, I have 43 Comments, I have 131 Followers, 71 people that I am following currently, and you can see how that's sort of trending either upward or downward there.
You can also see the Last 7 Days. If I hover over this it tells you that they can only find out about your new and lost followers when your stats get refreshed. And so basically here it's telling me here that I have got 27 new followers in the last seven days, I have lost four followers in the last seven days, so my Follower Growth is actually at plus 23. So you can actually tweet that and share that with people saying, "Hey, look I am getting more popular on Instagram." You can see a full list of people here and that full list of people will show you all of the new followers. You can also expand this out to go to your Rolling Stats page, which is going to give you rolling stats about a lot of different things, so it's going to show you the content that you have posted, it's going to show you the most used filter that you use in Instagram. It's also going to show you the tag that you use most often. It's going to show you things like your Likes, the comments associated with different photos and pictures and things like that.
It's also going to show you your 10 Most Engaged Followers, it's going to show you your follower growth, your gains and loses. There is all kinds of stuff that it's going to show you throughout this page. And so let me go back now to my stats and let's take a look at some of the rest of this. We have also got Content Stats and if I click on Content Stats it's going to take me to this page. And so the Content stats are going to show me here, I posted my first photo July 17th, you can see the growth across there, Distribution. We have got Density that goes across here.
Filter usage, so you see how often you use specific filters, so sometimes I use No Filter. And then we have got Amaro, X-Pro II, Hudson. You can see other ones that I use in different ways. You can also see the ones that I have Never Used, so I have never used like 1977, Apollo, Gotham, Lomo-fi, Lily, Lord Kelvin, all those I have never actually used those any of the ones that I have posted so far. However, this is a fairly new Instagram account. I don't have that many photos in my Instagram account. I actually had an older account that I deactivated some time ago for various reasons.
And so I am just starting to get back into the Instagram community now and so this is really interesting to see these. You can also see the most used tags over here on the right, you can see that. You can also see Geolocation, how often I use Geolocation then I can view my photos on a map, if I wanted to as well. You can also go to your Engagement tab over here on the left and the Engagement tag is going to show you different trends like the Likes that you have received over time, it's going to show you the most liked photos, obviously the one that's like the most is the one of my dog Tank and it's a very nice picture of him.
And we have also got Comments Received Over Time. You have got Most Commented on Photos-- took a picture of the Batmobile at the Warner Brother studio so that was a pretty popular photo. My wife and I on our anniversary, that was pretty popular and then of course Tank and my steak dinner was also pretty popular as well apparently. And so you can also go to your Optimization tab over here, the Optimization tab is showing you sort of like the best time to post. It tells you that the dark rounds indicate when you usually post photos and the light gray shows you when your community has been interacting the most.
So what you want to try to do is get these to line up. When you post the most, when people are most engaged that way you get the most out of these. Your average life span of the photo, you can see that, this graph shows you how faster community comments on a photo that you post. It also shows after how long you can usually consider that a photo will not receive any comments any more. So it can show you here that right after it's pretty high, it goes down, there is a little spike right after that and then pretty much dead after that. Filter impact. So discover which filters are triggering most likes and comments.
So basically right here Sierra is generating the most likes and comments here. This says average comment for photo and average like per photo. So actually Sierra gets the most comments and the most likes, whereas something like Earlybird doesn't really get that many. So it's pretty interesting. The Tag Impact, you can see the tags that I have used here and the top tags on Instagram, so maybe you want to see some of these Top Tags and start integrating those into your Instagram photo, so that you get more traction on your account.
Especially if you are using Instagram for business to reach out and engage with customers, this might be a great place to go to see some of the tags that are being used greatly on Instagram because using these tags are going to make it easier for people to find your photos and if you are trying to reach people and engage with them from a brand perspective that can be really powerful stuff. So I might want to check that out. Finally we have got a community tab over here on the left and when you click that you can see things like the followers, who you are following, you can see how many followers you don't follow back, how many people you are in reciprocal relationship with and people who you follow, who don't follow you back.
So, right now I have got 105 people that follow me that I don't follow back. I have got 26 people that I follow them and they follow me and 45 people that I follow them, but they don't follow me. And so you can actually go in and see these people by clicking on those little icons that are on the right hand side. It shows you Comparative Growth here, and then you have got the growth over time of your account so you can see here your followers as I mouse over this line, it shows me you know it goes all the way back down and so forth over time. So, you know July all the way until now, 2012.
So it's when I reached the peak. We have got New Followers over the last seven days, Lost Followers, New Followings-- people that I have just started following there. We have also got that people that I enjoy over here; this is an interesting little graph, so it says Your Last 300 Likes Given. And so these are for people who I follow, so I give 93% of the likes that I have to people that I follow and only 6% people I don't. So I don't really explore outside of the people I follow too often on Instagram, but I am trying to do that little bit more.
I can also see the top five people that I am following over here on the right and how many likes I have given to each one. And then at the bottom it will show you others people you may want to follow, this is depending of course on who you follow, who they follow, who you interact with, and things like that, so you may or may not see people down here. All in all I think Statigram is a great way to keep track of everything that's happening on your Instagram account. And its also a great way to see exactly how you are engaging and interacting with people and to see if you are doing it properly by using some of these tools.
So if you are using this for brand awareness and engaging with customers on social media this is a great tool to get involved with, so again remember it's Statigr.am you sign in though Instagram and you have access to all of these tools and information that you can use to further your Instagram experience and make sure that you are fully engaging in the community.
