One of the appeals of large format output is the wide variety of materials that can be printed. For example, for displays and decor, they can now print directly on corrugated foam core. In the past, they had to print on paper and then adhere that to some kind of support. Being able to print directly really speeds up the process. You've probably seen displays in movie theater lobbies that are printed on corrugated foam core. Look a little closer next time you go to the movies. They can print on corrugated cardboard, on wood, on glass and plastic, and even on metals, such as stainless steel and aluminum. And of course when you're creating outdoor signage, you need to use materials that can stand up to the wear and tear, the sun and the rain and the wind. So, the ability to use very strong, non woven substrates, such as Tyvek which can't be torn, really gives an advantage to large format printing. And plastics, like those from YUPOXXL.
