Adding pop-ups with Hide/Show buttons

Now that we know how to make simple buttons, let's move on to something that's a little bit more complex but is really fun to do. If you've ever worked with a program like say, iBooks Author, you know, they have widgets built-in where you can easily create pop-up captions and little games. You can sort of roll your own in InDesign with the strategic use of a certain button action called Show Hide. I'm going to show a couple of examples of ways that these two publications that we've been working with. Candy Mag and Flyaway Magazine use show hide buttons. First, I'm starting with the Flyaway Magazine, and I have a subset open here which is the gallery section. We're looking at the publication in preview mode. Let's open up the pages panel to see how big of a document we're working with. It's only nine pages long.
