Back in Illustrator CS, Adobe introduced the Live Effect called 3D. In reality this one little effect inside of Illustrator is actually a entire program called Adobe Dimensions. And there is a tremendous amount of functionality in this 3D feature here inside of Illustrator. Now we can have a lot of fun with 3D, but it's also important to realize that 3D inside of Illustrator is not the same as 3D that you might find inside of Photoshop or Flash or After Effects for that matter. So with that in mind, we'll take a look at some of the powerful things you could do and especially from the creative side with the 3D effect inside of Illustrator.
