Creating a seamless fabric texture
In this movie, I'll create a repeating tile pattern entirely from scratch, to lend texture to my sweater. Now first thing I'm going to do, is collapse my gradient panel, by clicking on this double arrow icon to left of the word gradient. And then I'll turn off my photo layer. Because, we're pretty much done with it for now. And for this effect to work, I need to be able to see through, to the light blue field in the background. All right. Now, I'm going to zoom in by Ctrl+spacebar clicking a few times there. That would be a Cmd+spacebar click on the Mac. And I'll select my line tool. From the line tools layout menu, and I'll just click somewhere inside my document. I'm looking for lengths, of 10 points and I want the angle to be 45 degrees. Then, fill line should be turned off, then click OK. Now, I'm going to reduce the line weight to 0.5 points like so and I'm also going to change the color, by shift clicking.
