What we're going to do this week is we're going to take this guy, hanging around fishing, and we're going to totally make him look healthier. We're going to take away those ravages of time right there, and too many beers, and make him look a little more muscular. So what we're going to do is we're going to take him, and I want to kind of select all the way around there, like this. Just get a big chunk of him right in there like that. And I'm going to send him to a new layer. New > Layer Via Copy. There it is.
So now, what's going to happen next is that I'm going to go in there and start to take this guy, that which is separated right there, and I'm going to modify him. And to do that, I'm going to use what's called Puppet Warp. So I'm going to select Puppet Warp. It's right there, Puppet Warp. Now, it looks like nothing's happened, but if we turn on the Mesh, we'll see that there is an actual mesh that has been created above the area of our little man there. Now, I can expand that. I can go in there and make it much wider, or make it less.
But we're just going to leave it at the default of two, or there you go, two. But what we are going to do is the density. We're going to go in there and say, More Points. That'll give us a lot more control over how we're going to go in there and distort him. Now that we see where our mesh is, we're going to hide it. No longer need to see it, because what we're going to do is within that mesh, we're going to set up specific control points that allow us to distort him. So I'm going to go in here and as I click you'll see that it creates a little point. So I'm going to kind of go around this edge of his shoulder right there like that, and I'm going to kind of go all the way down his leg like so.
And the same thing around here. I'm going to go right around this shoulder like so and anchor it all the way down. Now, why am I anchoring it all down, way down? You'll see that in a second. Now I'm going to go in here and start to create a few other points. I'm going to put one right there, and let's put one here, and one there. And then here, we'll create a couple. We'll create one there, and we'll put one there. All right. So now, as I start to move these, like if I start to move this, you'll see, see his, see the hand up on top there? See the hand? Undo that. Watch this hand right here.
As I'm moving this, the hand is moving as well. We don't want that to happen, so what I'm going to do is, I'm going to anchor the hand, and bring those points all the way out, so the entire extremities have been protected. So now when I move this, you'll see that the hand will no longer move. So I can take this point and move it in, and take this point, and move it in there, like that. Maybe add one more point, right in between here, and push that in some more, just a little more like that. There we go. Now these guys, let's move this guy in and this guy way in like that.
And we might want to add another point right in between here and bring that in some more. There we go. There. And, now when we hit Return, there, you can see that, this is what he looked like before, and there, you can see that now we've thinned' em down a little bit. And everything else is fitting right in place. we went from that, guy with a little age to a nice new fit. If we undo that, yeah, you can see the bulges. Come back again, and we see that we have this nice, very well fit guy.
If you want a little more to it. We could. Let's go in there and let's say we select this part of him right here and we add another Puppet Warp, because, after looking at it, I realized we gotta do one more thing to this. And I'm going to add a point right here, and this point I"m going to just pull out. I'm going to pull this out, put one there, and pull that out like that. I'm going to add a point right here and pull this one out, and put a point there, pull that one out. Hit OK, and there, now we can see that his shoulders just got broader.
So we went from the original guy that looked like this and got this much stronger, muscular looking, virile, young guy by just playing around with a little Puppet Warp.
