In this course my goal was to give you a good understanding of the HTML5 drag-and-drop application programming interface. I've covered how the API works, how to write and register event handlers, how each of the events work, and I've shown you a full working application that uses these technologies. As with most of the HTML5 application technologies, the specifications for HTML5 drag and drop remain in flux. I suggest that you keep up with these changes on the web hypertext application technology working group website in order to make sure that your code works with current and future browsers.
And be sure to check out the other HTML5 titles here on the lynda.com Online Training Library. As always, feel free to use my working examples as a starting point for your own applications and I look forward to seeing what you do with HTML5 drag and drop in your own projects.
