Another feature of the Google+ page for your business and marketing management is using the Events option, and I'm going to go ahead and show you how I got here. You have the Home page, your Profile, Pages, Explore, you also have Events, and for any reason if you don't see down the left side, always put your mouse under More, and it may appear here. So once you click Events, it takes you to the Event creation page, and this is a way for you to manage events whether they're live, or they're virtual, and it's as easy as creating an event, and I can create an Event here, or I can go ahead and create the event here.

Using Events strategically

Another feature of the Google+ page for your business and marketing management is using the Events option, and I'm going to go ahead and show you how I got here. You have the Home page, your Profile, Pages, Explore, you also have Events, and for any reason if you don't see down the left side, always put your mouse under More, and it may appear here. So once you click Events, it takes you to the Event creation page, and this is a way for you to manage events whether they're live, or they're virtual, and it's as easy as creating an event, and I can create an Event here, or I can go ahead and create the event here.

I'm going to go ahead and hit that button, and it takes you into a very streamlined solution that allows you to do everything from mousing around to changing your theme. You can also go in here and change theme, you can scroll through all the options that Google has designed, and this is kind of a fun fact: to see the interaction happening here, a lot of these themes are actually animated. So it creates a little more visual cue. For No Obstacles Sport we can do something like the soccer ball.

You also can upload Stationary. So if you wanted something little more static, you could have something that was pre-designed, and you have a lot of options here for Google, it could be birthday, it could be games, things like that, it could be just a basic design. You can also upload some of your own photos. You can upload profile pictures. Let's say I want to do something like this. What I did here is I just selected a photo and Google actually stopped me and they said I can only select images that are 940 by 280 pixels.

So if you did want to have your own custom image, you would need to have that ready to go, and you would save it to your desktop and go ahead and either drag the photo in here or select it from your computer. I'm going to go ahead and Cancel out of that, and just for the sake of example I am going to go ahead and pick that cool one with the soccer ball, hit Set as theme, and there I go. And then you give your event a title. So let's say one of the marketing initiatives was to have webinar every month to get more people engaging with the brand.

I can go ahead and I can keep my options as Basic, I can allow my Guest to invite other people, Guests can add photos. If it was a private event that you are extending only to select circles, you can uncheck that. In this case I'm going to live everything open, No Obstacles philosophy is the more the merrier, and you go ahead and you set your Date and the Event is going to be on August 9. And the event will be during business hours at 3:00 PM. And Location, there is no location, it's going to say on the web, and this is not related to a business, so we're just putting that here.

And the Details, you can share a little bit, and you can go ahead and you can invite circles, or you can make it public. I'm going to make this Event Public. And then you go ahead and you hit Invite, and it loads it up there, and now on the Google+ page for the No Obstacles Sport business, they have a monthly health webinar and so they'll go ahead and allows people to say they're going Yes, No, Maybe. In this case No Obstacles Sport is of course going because they're the ones hosting the event, but it's just another way to engage with your audience.
