So now that we have optimized the images here, and we have a really cohesive look for the cover photo and the profile photo working together to really reflect the No Obstacles Sport in a way that the organization is happy with. The next thing we can look at is optimizing by adding blog posts. I always like to share simple steps that you can do and sometimes it's the really easy things that we may take for granted that can be one of the best ways to navigate the social web. So one of the things you can do is use your blog, and for most organizations who are on the social web the blog is their social media nucleus.
So what does that mean? The blog gives you more space, you can write longer posts, you can include images. The blog has your brand all of the content stored in one place. Where here when you're posting you're not going to write a novel, you're going to write something pretty pithy and powerful, and sometimes you can link things and drive traffic back to a website. So one optimization is taking your blog content and the blog content for No Obstacles Sport is all about unlocking your inner athlete. They even communicate their theme, have it ways to remove athletic blocks, so you can be happy and healthy, and that busy lifestyle shouldn't block your ability to be active.
And in the course I taught called The Fundamentals of Online Marketing I talk more about blogging best practices. Here we have some great content. We have shared some of those before, but here is an older post on prioritizing your health, and so if you want to optimize your Google+ page you want to share content that is appropriate, and when we wrote the About Section we talked about what the page was going to be doing in talking about things that will inspire the followers and potential followers.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to click this blog post specifically, and the reason I'm clicking it is so I can get the URL just to this post, so someone can go directly to it if they want to read more, and I'm copying that, and I'm going to go back to Posts, and I can share by pasting it immediately, or I'm going to close out of that, or I can share the link. Either way it does the same thing. So, Here's a great post to help you make YOU a priority! Here's to your health! And I'm just doing a little call to action, Read the full blog post.
Right now it has an image, you can remove the image, it also has a little blurb. I can actually remove this description if I wanted to, so I'll go ahead and do that just so you see what that looks like, and I can make this Public, I can add to my circles, and all you're going to do is hit Share, and voila, that's public. So you have taken content that you have already written about prioritizing your health, and you're recycling it, you're repurposing it, you're taking things that already created and leveraging them to serve and support your followers.
And for someone that is interested in reading more they can click the Link and what you're doing is you're not only optimizing your Google+ page by providing relevant content but you're also helping drive traffic back to your website and essentially connecting more people under your brand. So go ahead and think about ways that you can get more mileage out of your blog posts, and you're also keeping your contacts in a loop with relevant and interesting useful information.
