Simplifying paths
Generally with vector artwork the simpler the path the better. That's even more important when dealing with fonts. Making sure that your artwork has as anchor points as possible, will ensure that your font is as small as it can be, and that your icons are going to display crisply. So have the chunky mobile file open from the 04_11 directory. And we're going to be working to simplify some of our icons. Now, I'm going to start on the same icon that we've been working with for the past couple of exercises. And that would be the search icon. So I'm going to double-click that to open it up. And, now, in the previous exercise we added these extremapoints. And so because of that we've got sort of more points than we need here. So removing points inside of Glyphs is actually really, really simple to do. If you're used to drawing in illustrator what I'm about to do is probably going to make you a little uncomfortable.
